Duocoat® TI Thermal insulating industrial coating
TI thermal insulating coating / condense blocking coating is a sprayable insulation coating specially developed for industrial applications. Besides it's high thermal insulation value, it also provides excellent protection against Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI).
® TI insulating coatings provide a thermal insulating coating layer, comparable with conventional fibre or foam insulations at a fraction of the usual thickness.
This is made possible due to the combined insulating properties of the Duocoat
® TI . Our insulation coatings combine insulation against heat transfer through Conduction, Convection and Radiation. This opposed to conventional insulation that basically only insulates based on retarding the conduction of energy.
Therefore the commonly used R- or K-values are always based solely on the conductive capacity of a material.
Seeing the fact that infrared radiation is the source of every heatflow, Duomar
® has designed a line of insulating coatings that combine all three aspects of heattransfer in one insulation coating.
This is based on the chemical and physical composition of the insulation coatings and its fillers and not on lightwave reflection of a light coloured surface as many other claimed insulation coatings do.
® TI is used in industrial applications as thermal insulation for heat retention, CUI (Corrosion Under Insulationg) prevention, protection against condensation, personal / personnel protection.
® TI can be applied as a stand alone insulation, or can be used in combination with other insulation materials.
Another advantage of Duocoat
® TI insulating coating is the seamless application that adheres directly to the substrate, thus preventing the occurrence of condensation under insulation. Besides the insulation advantage this provides, it also protects the construction against Corrosion Under Insulation.
